My Name is Alan Davis and I would like to thank you for stopping by and visiting my site. Hunting, fishing and the outdoors in general have been a large part of my life, which fueled my interest in the custom knife world. I started making knives in 2008 with nothing but an angle grinder, hand files, sand paper and a homemade forge. Since then I have been continuously improving my equipment and honing my skills as a knife maker.
It was not until I started attending the Guadalupe Forge Hammer - ins that the quality of my knives really started to improve. I owe a great deal to Johnny Stout, Harvey Dean, Bob Merz and all the instructors & other makers who have attended. The shared knowledge at this event is priceless.
I make each knife one at a time, cutting and shaping each piece individually. No two knives will ever be exactly the same. I use American made carbon and stainless steels, as well as Damascus from both carbon and stainless steels. I use handle materials of all types from natural woods and fossilized mammoth to modern materials like Timascus and carbon fiber.
