Bought my first knife from Alan in October of 2012. His work is outstanding with each piece having a unique personality, if that can be said about a knife! Since that first piece, I have acquired 19 more of his knives, gifted one of them to a good friend, and just bought another of his knives yesterday. If you are looking for a quality, hand-made custom knife, you should really consider one of Alan's.

I have 8 Alan Davis knives. His work is awesome. Most of the knives are made to my specs and he did them just like I wanted them!! If you have a design you like and know how you want it let Alan work his magic and you will have the knife you have dreamed of. Alan is the man for your design!! He is great to work with!! Once you get one you will have to come back for more!! Thanks Alan for your great work!! Kevin
Loved the newly added shop tour Alan .... especially that last pic. Hope you are using some mesquite in there!!!! Dang, I miss living in Texas.
I do use mesquite in the pit. Best smoke flavor there is!
Yeah, best brisket ever!!
Just recently got two Alan Davis knives and wow do I ever love them. I highly recommend these knives.
I own two knives made by Mr. Davis and I highly encourage anybody who's thinking on buying on to go ahead and place an order.
Quality and craftsmanship are amazing, either if your a collector or a user, you'll never look back.
I have 6 of Alan's knives and frankly want more. This past year I bought a number of production blades like Hinderer, Strider and Curtiss, IMHO none of these holds a candle to Alan's offerings. I plan to divest myself of all of my knives except Alan's. Highly recommended, great fellow to deal with.
Don .... I know what you mean. I now have 35 of Alan's knives (and have gifted a couple others to friends). Each one is a masterpiece. I used to be able to tell folks which was my favorite. I can no longer do that since they are all so fantastic!
Just want to throw more kudos Alan's way. Number 37 is on its way to me (did have 40 of his knives at one point, but gifted 3 of them to friends to spread the joy!). Each one of his knives is uniquely different and a treasure to own.
Wonderful work Alan, I look forward to getting another knife from you soon!
Just added my 48th Davis knife to my collection. It was a 2-year wait for this one .... but worth every moment! I asked Alan to make me a knife using some Redwood burl I sent him, but told him I didn't want to know anything about what he was going to make. I wanted it to be a total surprise. I couldn't be more pleased with it. Can't think of any other knife maker I would ask to make me a knife, sight unseen, and be 100% confident that I would be thrilled with with the finished creation.
